Shannon, while not the top of the class like Tex, was also not the class clown like Daniel. She kept her head down, studied hard and made a name for herself until mutants were bounced from SHIELD operative posts.
She doesn't speak much about her family, but when she has, she has said nothing truly terrible either.
After the six month time gap, Shannon has been brought back into the SHIELD sphere by Phil Coulson as he trains a team of mutants and mystics for future missions. She is not rejoining SHIELD, but she has also not been fully able to break away from them either.
